Turning a house into your home!

I am about ready to start.  I have been working on this for almost 3 weeks.  I hope it is going to help you get yourself on top of ordinary chores.  Hopefully it will give you some tips on saving time and money.  I am all about saving money.  And time, well the more time I have the more aprons I can sew. And now that Spring is just around the corner I can play with my grandsons and we can work in our flowers.  The birds are chirping and calling for us to come out and play.  


Today I am making Lasagna, garlic bread and brownies for my hubby.  He is my number 1.  Yesterday we celebrated 34 years marriage.  I have been so totally blessed.  

I am making my first chef apron for men today and will post as soon as I have it complete.  Am so excited to make something for men, then I can remind them to smile while wearing a magic apron and cooking for their loved ones.

Spring is just around the corner!!!!

The sun finally showed its face today.  I have so missed the sunshine.  Being from Florida where the sun shines almost all the time, this winter has been so gloomy.  I think we are all ready for Spring.  Today was such a busy day.  Dust, Dust and more Dusting.  Cleaning out the floor vents, I vacuum the vents every 90 days.  It helps keep down on dust.  Changed sheets, washed and re-made beds.  Also washed all towels and whites.  Tomorrow will be baths and floors.  I love the way I feel when my house is tidy.  A little bit every day keeps the dust bunnies away.  

Dinner was another one of my husbands favorites.  Salisbury Steak, Fried Potatoes in an iron skillet, Black i peas, Homemade rolls that turned out so beautiful and for dessert is Strawberry Pretzel Salad.  I know it says it is a salad but we eat it for dessert.  It is so good and light.  Plus it is Strawberry season.

I need to call my son to come and pick up some leftovers.  I always cook too much for just my husband, Larry and myself.  

I wish computers had taste and smell!  This is heavenly!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful Valentine day.  I made my husband a Dark Chocolate Capachino Cake for Valentine's Day.  It is a taste of Heaven.  I found it on Christy's blog "A Southern Plate".  A beautiful blog.   For my husband's Valentine dinner, I made his favorite.  Country Fried Steak, Mashed Potatoes and Butter Beans.  I cut the steak out in the shape of a heart.  He truly loved it.  Wanted to keep it for our love secret.  He is the sweetest man and my Valentine forever.  Enjoy your time this evening with the people you love and remember to always smile when wearing a magic apron.

Going from House to Home!

I will be doing a series on turning your house into a home.  Routines, Schedules, Menus and so much more.  I have been working on it for many weeks and should begin in the next week or so.  Lots of recipes and aprons coming very soon.  Let all your friends know about this.....

I have been cooking all day...

Slept in a little to late and did not get my chores done.  Shame on me.  But, I have been cooking all of my husbands favorites, I made Taco's for dinner tonight.  Everything is ready except the shells.  He loves Taco's, I think he could eat them everyday.  I then made Chicken Salad, it smelled so good I had a Chicken Salad sandwich for lunch.  My husband spoons it in a bowl and just eats his heart out.  I then made Sausage balls, 2 days late.  I was suppose to make them for Super Bowl Sunday.  Did not happen.  I choose to play with my grand kids instead.  Strawberry Pretzel Salad comes tomorrow.  Now that is one of my favorites.  I will take pictures and post on my recipe page.  I am planning a candle lite dinner for Valentine's Day just have not made the menu yet.  Better hurry, it is in one week.  Don't forget to get your valentine apron.  Dress up for your love one and plan something really special.  Hope you all have a great week and remember to always smile when wearing one of Mimi's Magic Aprons and cooking.  Your dishes taste better!!!!!
