Merry Christmas!

I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas.  Enjoy your time with your family and friends.  This is such a special time of the year to have our family close whether in our hearts or with us in our homes.  Good food, family, lots of smiles and laughs, lots of love.  Nothing is better.  Always smile when wearing our magic aprons and cooking the good family recipes. 


I will be making spring aprons after the holidays.  Please come back and see what I have been up too.  I will also be posting new recipes.  One will be upside down sweet potatoes.  Another will be Watergate Salad made with cream cheese and cool whip.

Ready!!!

OK, its Thursday, December 15 and I am ready for Christmas.  Thank goodness.  I am baking Christmas Cookies next week for my grandsons, their faces light up when Mimi makes cookies.  We will be going to Santa's Village on Monday to see Santa and the reindeer.  It snows every night.  A family tradition.  Hope you are getting everything ready so you can enjoy your family.  Nothing makes me smile like my family.  I still have some Christmas Aprons available and can get them out to you before Christmas if you like.  Let me know.  Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.... 

Aprons For Sale!

I went out today for buttons and ended up with more fabric.  I have Christmas Aprons all over this house.  If anyone is interested in a Magic Apron let me know and I will take some pictures for you to see.  I sell them for $35.00 each with $4.95 for shipping.  I love every apron I make and hate to get rid of some of them but I am busting at the seams, haha.  

Christmas is almost here!!!! Are we ready?

I have been decorating, sewing and shopping.  Trying to get ready for the holidays.  My oldest son is coming home in a week and that is when my holiday will begin.  I will have the whole family together again.  That makes my heart so happy.  I will have all 5 of my boys with me.  My 2 sons, my 2 grandsons and my 1 (and only) husband.  I will start cooking next week so we can spend most of our time together and enjoying each other.  As I cook I will smile and think very warm thoughts of all my friends and family.  Love to all...

It's time to get ready for Christmas

Thanksgiving is over and its time to get ready for Christmas.  I am putting up decorations all over the house with my Christmas music on and singing.  Having a great time.  Everything is up except the tree and it will go up this weekend.  Then its time to finish my little bit of shopping I have left.  Most of the presents for this year have been made from my heart.  After shopping is complete, hopefully by Sunday afternoon.  I will start organizing my recipes for my baking, and of course; Mimi's Magic Apron will be on with a smile.  Let me know what kind of baking you plan on doing this year.

I am so Thankful!

Monday morning of Thanksgiving week.  I feel so blessed to have a great family and am able to cook for them.  I know we should feel this way through out the year but for some reason we always reflect on Thanksgiving.  My goal for the upcoming year is to have Thanksgiving everyday.  Today I will set the table for our dinner on Thursday.  I will cut out 4 new aprons and get ready to sew them.  My serger is in the shop at the moment but as soon as I pick it up I will be ready.  I am cooking Cornbread Casserole for dinner.  This is one of my husbands favorite.  Hope you have a great day and remember to always smile when you cook.  Your dishes taste better.  Love to all
